Our deep interest and research in Ancient Histories of the Greater Middle-East, Mediterranean and Asia has led us to interesting discoveries of its unexplored rich archives. We are taking Global Iconic Landmarks, Silent Unexplained Ancient Sites, Grand Historical Personalities and Unsolved Mythologies, whose definitive origin and historical reality has eluded scientists, archaeologists and historians for centuries, who dabbled in their possible and impossible explanations, entertaining the world with dead end theories and unexplained outcomes. For every Ancient Icon, Name, and Myth, there is an EXPLANATION and a Reality Story to be told. The potential to mine and showcase these enthralling histories through books, visual and current multi trans-media has resulted in our vision to produce unique researched books that will entertain, re-arrange, and at times challenge the frontiers of historical thinking. Being a novice in the field of books and its spin offs, we have studied and learnt the hard realities of this multi-faceted global market, focused on the fierce entry level and demanding criteria of the Publishing and Multi-Visual Media business, whilst spurred on by the huge global potentials of success. Our ideas and stories franchises inherently develop into high concept, have universal appeal, multi media entertainment, commercial, brand and sequels potential in line with global market trends. In setting up a studio, our vision is to develop and produce simultaneously and continuously a slate of titles so as to harness the natural profusion of ideas during research. To harness and accelerate this vision requires an efficient infrastructure and professional story telling enthusiasts. Our genre of content development is in line with world trends sought by global media brands. The stories research we are mining - we are so upbeat & confident that our primary project The GOG MAGOG Story has the potential to be our ‘AVATAR’ - a Huge Global Franchise Potential. Its treasure-house is a huge archive of Grand Histories, Mysteries and Wonders - just waiting for discovery, development and streaming into Books, Films, Multi-Media, TV and Franchised Entertainment Brands for the World. The Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Stephen King - only 3 Book Brands - has sold over One Billion Books, Movies, Games, Theme Parks, Brands & Franchise Value - generating over $40 Billion. The "Star Wars" Brand alone has generated over $30 Billion - expected future earnings of over $30 Billion - George Lucas has just sold the brand to Disney for $4 Billion. Books and literature art are the “software” driving the global film, television, games, etc. industries - content creation executives know the importance of great stories, ideas and books. Many of Hollywood's A-List films are multi billion dollar established Brands, Franchise and Associated Spin-off Industries conceptualised over 50 years ago and they continue to dominate – we want to get into this stream to be part of that future. The vision of Kingdom Studio is to create a label for producing unique books from our Middle-Eastern, Mediterranean and Arabian libraries and hopefully give impetus to others to follow the potentials of mining these grand archives. OUR INCUBATOR STUDIO Kingdom Studios was conceptualized and is lead by Sayed Ebrahim Mahomed, initially assisted by a team of micro funder beneficiaries. In 2009 we commenced a Pilot Studio to Research, Explore, Dream Up Ideas, Stories and Publish literature content for the Global Book World with potential to spin-off into Movies & Films, Games, Multi Visual Media Platform Market. It is a pilot project with limited resources yet conscious of the vision, challenges and rewards of this field. The Pilot Studio is based in a 120 square meter, 2nd floor space, with limitations to usage, facilities and finance. We have put together a small library of approximately 3000 books of English, Arabic and Urdu to facilitate our research needs. We have also accumulated a researched electronic library of over 6000 ebooks, journals, thesis, articles, academic works and ideation directly relevant to our 4 major books in development. Our beginning is small yet dedicated, whilst we are learning the challenges and art of books and literary content development. We are continually "mining" a list of books, ideas and titles to focus on which we are confident to bring to success. We have researched the field of literature, the various hurdles and strengths of successful books, the various specialists that are employed in the achievement of best-seller books, namely writers, researchers, style editors etc. Publishing a best-seller book can take many years to successfully bring to print. Being a true novice we have taken over five years to understand this field, including consulting many local and international publishers about our intent and vision. The Kingdom Studio is confident in its book titles global potential. Our vision has a 3 phase progress.

LIASA is a Global Professional Organisation uniting and representing all institutions and people working in libraries and information services in South Africa that provides dynamic leadership in transforming, developing, sustaining library and advancing information services. LIASA's membership consists of individuals in libraries, information services and research institutions or organisations.
